Alumni Committee Formed at Historic Nalta Model Govt Primary School in Satkhira; Bakul President, Habibullah Secretary
With the motto "Students' bond, school's development," a full-fledged alumni association committee has been formed for the first time at the historic 74 No. Nalta Government Model Primary School in Kaliganj Upazila, Satkhira. The 33-member committee was formed unanimously on Friday (September 11) morning during a special discussion held at the school auditorium with the participation of former students and current teachers.
Earlier on August 31, during a farewell reception organized by former students for retiring Headmaster Md. Anwarul Haque, a three-member core of the alumni association was announced, featuring Abul Kalam Azad (Bakul) as president, Dr. Md. Habibullah as general secretary, and Abul Kalam Bin Akbar as organizing secretary. Following prior announcements, the full 33-member committee was unveiled on Friday morning under the leadership of these three officers.
During the discussion, newly elected organizing secretary Abul Kalam Bin Akbar stated, "We are fortunate that an alumni association has been formed for the first time in this beloved school of our childhood and adolescence. We will collectively move forward in any developmental work of the school. At the same time, creating a wonderful bond between former and current students will be one of our primary goals."
Newly elected general secretary Dr. Md. Habibullah noted, "Special attention will be directed toward talented students, new teachers and students, and retired teachers of the school. We will strive to stand beside our beloved alma mater in any time of need." Newly elected president Abul Kalam Azad (Bakul) added, "We had been trying for a long time to establish the alumni association of Nalta Government Primary School. Finally, that wait has ended as we commence our journey. We hope this legacy continues for ages, and future leaders will stand selflessly and untiringly by the school through thick and thin."
Leaders of the newly formed alumni association stated that alongside uniting former students, the organization will play a vital role in enhancing the standard of education, infrastructural development, encouraging talented students, and fostering strong relations between teachers and students.
