2 Arrested with 35 Yaba Tablets and 3 on Warrant in Separate Drives in Mithapukur

Mithapukur Thana police arrested two individuals with 35 pieces of Yaba tablets and three others on arrest warrants during separate anti-drug and regular operations in Mithapukur Upazila, Rangpur.

According to police sources, the first operation was conducted based on a tip-off in the Durgapur Bazar area of No. 12 Milonpur Union, where Md. Ruman Mia (30), son of Md. Jamal Mia, was arrested red-handed with 17 pieces of Yaba tablets. The second operation took place in Bhaktipur Mauza under No. 2 Ranipukur Union, where Md. Belal Mia (30), son of Md. Rubel Mia from Bhaktipur Purbapara village, was arrested with 18 pieces of Yaba tablets. Additionally, in separate drives, police arrested three more individuals against whom active arrest warrants were pending.

Separate cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed at Mithapukur Police Station regarding the recovered narcotics, and all the arrested accused have been forwarded to the court.
