4 Arrested with 202 Yaba Tablets and 1 Kg Ganja in Kalapara

Kalapara Thana police arrested four individuals along with 202 pieces of Yaba tablets and 1 kg of ganja in Kalapara, Patuakhali. The arrested suspects are Mst. Runa Begum (55), wife of Amir Hossain (48), Mst. Mim Begum (25), Md. Raihan Hossain (22), both children of Amir Hossain,

 all hailing from Paschim Badurtali village, and Rajib Akon (30), son of Malek Akon and Sadia Begum, from Madrasah Road, Ward No. 9 of Kalapara Municipality. They were arrested on Thursday (September 10) around 9:30 PM from the residential house of accused Md. Amir Hossain (48) in Paschim Badurtali village of Tiakhali union.

According to police sources, the case plaintiff, SI (Unarmed) Kamruzzaman, accompanied by his fellow officers and force, conducted a raid acting on a tip-off at the house of detained accused Md. Amir Hossain in Paschim Badurtali village at 9:30 PM. During the operation,

 202 pieces of Yaba tablets and 1 kg of ganja were recovered from the possession of the suspects, leading to their arrest. A case has been filed against the arrestees at Kalapara Police Station under sections 36(1) table 10(k)/41 of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.

Kalapara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazrul Islam stated that regular drives against drugs will continue.
