Ending months of industry speculation, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that his highly anticipated action-thriller King remains firmly on track for its scheduled release on December 24.

Following a massive triple-box-office triumph in 2023 with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, the actor took a three-year hiatus from leading roles on the big screen. The lack of recent updates regarding King had triggered rumors of a potential delay, prompting Khan to directly address fan concerns during an interactive "Ask Me Anything" session on X (formerly Twitter).

Responding to inquiries about the film's promotional rollout and trailer release, Khan reassured fans that official material would drop well ahead of the premiere. "This time, you will watch the entire film; I won't prolong your wait. We are crafting a solid film to satisfy your hearts. Everything will be out before December 24," Khan stated.

When asked whether the scale of action in King would surpass his 2023 blockbuster Jawan, the actor credited director Siddharth Anand for pushing boundaries. "Yes, the action sequences are indeed designed on a much grander scale. Sid has poured immense effort into it. But beyond the action, you will also appreciate the underlying emotion and comedy," Khan added.

Addressing fan eagerness regarding the soundtrack, Khan explained the slight delay in releasing the film's first tracks, attributing it to ongoing studio work by playback singer Arijit Singh. "I would have released them by now, but Arijit dada is still adding his final touches. He is a perfectionist and is taking the necessary time to refine it," he noted.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King marks another collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, and Saurabh Shukla.
