The rumors surfaced after the 83-year-old actor posted a brief line on his personal blog stating, "Enough, it is time to stop." The sentence was quickly interpreted by online users and media outlets as an announcement that he was concluding his decades-long cinematic career.

Addressing the misinterpretation, Bachchan clarified that the statement referred strictly to concluding his late-night writing routine and going to sleep, rather than stepping away from the film industry.

"No, sir, I am not retiring from work. I was simply going to sleep," Bachchan remarked, dismissing the rumors with humor while criticizing sensationalized reporting aimed at generating quick clicks.
