The Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) has expressed deep grief and strongly condemned the Houthi missile strike targeting Terminal-3 at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which killed two Bangladeshi citizens and injured 24 others.
In a joint statement issued on Monday (October 12, 2026), AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Monju and General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuaad offered prayers for the deceased workers' departed souls, expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and wished a speedy recovery for all injured victims. The party leaders stated that targeting civilian infrastructure like an international transit airport is entirely unacceptable, tragic, and a violation of international humanitarian law.
Highlighting the pivotal role of expatriate workers in Bangladesh's national economy, the AB Party urged the Bangladesh Government and the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh to take immediate measures to ensure top-tier medical treatment for the injured, fast-track the repatriation of deceased bodies, and provide prompt financial compensation to affected families. Furthermore, Monju and Fuaad called on the international community to hold perpetrators accountable and pursue diplomatic channels to uphold regional peace and safeguard migrant workers.
