BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has strongly accused the banned Awami League and another "secret party" of jointly engaging in conspiracies and propaganda.

Speaking on Thursday (October 22, 2026) at a brief rally following the distribution of public awareness leaflets to prevent dengue in Shantinagar, Dhaka, Rizvi stated that the demeanor and rhetoric of the defeated forces and this particular party share striking similarities.

He noted that those who previously spread malicious propaganda against the BNP are once again hatching conspiracies. However, highlighting the successful steps taken by the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to thwart all plots, he mentioned that thanks to the round-the-clock efforts of BNP activists, Sharadiya Durga Puja was celebrated in the most peaceful and festive environment witnessed in the country over the past 17 to 18 years.

Addressing the dengue situation, he highlighted government initiatives such as free testing and adequate saline supplies in public hospitals, urging citizens to remain cautious.

The leaflet distribution program was also attended by BNP Joint Secretary General Abdus Salam Azad, Health Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Organizing Secretary Saiful Haque Babul, Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sorafat Ali Sapu, and other leaders.
