Information and Broadcasting Minister Barrister Andaleeve Rahman stated that the government is actively working to amend laws, including the cybersecurity act, to guarantee equal protection for all, media personnel, the administration, and citizens alike. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday night (October 21) after visiting nine Puja mandaps in his constituency, Bhola Sadar, he noted that discussions are underway with key stakeholders, such as TV channel owners and newspaper editors, to make these initiatives effective.

Minister Andaleeve expressed satisfaction over the peaceful and harmonious celebration of Durga Puja with robust security for all communities, and mentioned that any violation of the law—including the recent killing of a journalist in Netrokona—will be handled strictly under existing laws. To support the celebrations, he distributed a total grant of Tk 29 lakh across 29 Puja mandaps in Bhola Sadar.
