Hefazat-e-Islam Denounces Riyadh Airport Attack as Extreme Violation of International Law and Human Rights
Hefazat-e-Islam leadership issued a press statement condemning the Houthi missile strike on Riyadh's civilian airport and demanding compensation for Bangladeshi expatriate victims.

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has strongly condemned the missile strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, calling it an extreme violation of international law, fundamental human rights, and human values.

In a press statement issued on Monday (October 12, 2026), Hefazat Amir Shah Muhibbullahr Babunagari and General Secretary Shaykh Sajidur Rahman offered deep condolences to the families of the deceased—including two Bangladeshi expatriates—and prayed for the quick recovery of the 24 injured victims. The leaders stressed that targeting a purely civilian establishment like an international airport is completely unacceptable and has shaken the global conscience.

Hefazat urged the Saudi government and international humanitarian bodies to guarantee comprehensive financial compensation and free advanced medical care for affected families. Furthermore, they requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment in Bangladesh to initiate swift diplomatic measures for either the dignified repatriation of the deceased workers' bodies or proper overseas burial according to their families' wishes. The organization also appealed to the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take visible action to safeguard civilian infrastructure and establish lasting peace in the Middle East.
