Jamaat-e-Islami Holds Long March Implementation Committee Meeting Ahead of October 31 Program
Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar chairs the central implementation committee meeting for the upcoming 11-party alliance long march in Dhaka on Sunday.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has conducted an executive implementation committee meeting to outline operational preparations for the upcoming 11-party alliance's long march from Dhaka to Kushtia, scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Chaired by Jamaat Secretary General, former MP, and Implementation Committee Convener Mia Golam Parwar at the party's central office on Sunday (October 4, 2026), the meeting established organizational directives to ensure the peaceful and orderly execution of the multi-district march. The campaign will officially kick off on October 31 at 7:00 AM with an inaugural rally at the South Gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka, before proceeding along the Dhaka-Khulna-Jessore-Kushtia route and concluding with a final rally in Kushtia. Led by Leader of the Opposition and Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, MP alongside top leaders of the 11-party coalition, the long march demands the implementation of the public referendum verdict, justice for the July killings, resolution of fuel, power, gas, and fertilizer shortages, control of commodity prices, improvement of law and order, and an end to corruption and administrative politicization. Senior party leaders including Assistant Secretaries General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, MP, Maulana Abdul Halim, and Advocate Ehsanul Mahboob Zubair attended the session.
