Jatiya Biplobi Parishad Demands End to Alleged Indian Hegemony, Threatens Resistance
Leaders and activists of Jatiya Biplobi Parishad hold a protest rally in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka before marching toward the Foreign Ministry.

The Jatiya Biplobi Parishad has warned that foreign hegemony will no longer be tolerated in Bangladesh, asserting that any encroachment upon the nation's territorial integrity and administrative sovereignty will face firm public resistance.

Speaking at a rally in front of the National Press Club on Thursday (October 1, 2026) prior to a planned blockade toward the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jatiya Biplobi Parishad Convener Khomeni Ihsan criticized Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi for allegedly exceeding diplomatic protocols outlined in the Vienna Convention. Ihsan claimed that frequent visits by diplomatic envoys to state ministries undermine administrative independence, while condemning the non-extradition of deposed political figures—including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader—who face capital punishment over allegations tied to the July uprising. Other prominent leaders attending the demonstration included Jatiya Biplobi Parishad Member Secretary Dr. Nabil Ahmad, Islami Oikya Jota Senior Vice Chairman Freedom Fighter Mir Shawkat Amin, and Pan-Islamic Movement Chairman Advocate Mostafa Jamal Bhuiyan, who collectively reiterated their commitment to safeguarding state sovereignty.
