Anisul Islam Mahmud, chairman of a faction of the Jatiya Party, has called for creating an environment of inclusive politics to establish overall stability in the country by overcoming various challenges, including economic crises and law and order situations.
Speaking on Saturday morning at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of Upazila Day at the Jatiya Party office in Gulshan, Dhaka, he said, "At one time, an attempt was made to politics excluding Jamaat. The nation has witnessed the consequences of that. Therefore, there is no scope to practice politics by excluding anyone. No single party will determine who gets to do politics and who does not; the people will decide that."
Anisul Islam Mahmud further stated that in the country's current situation, it is imperative to address the economic crisis, improve law and order, control commodity prices, and ensure public safety. Alongside taking effective steps in these areas, the government must foster an environment of inclusive politics to establish political stability.
Presided over by ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, Secretary General of the Jatiya Party faction, the meeting was also addressed by Senior Co-Chairman Kazi Firoz Rashid, Executive Chairman Mujibul Haque Chunnu, Co-Chairmen Syed Abu Hossain Babla, Sahidur Rahman Tepa, Mustafa Al Mahmud, and Sunil Shubho Roy. ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader noted that former President Hussain Muhammad Ershad introduced the Upazila system to deliver government services to the doorstep of the people. The event was attended by various party leaders, including Presidium members Begum Nasrin Jahan Ratna, Solaiman Alam Seth, and others.
