Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Secretary General and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director and Chief Editor Muhammed Kader Gani Chowdhury has stated that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has successfully restored the public's trust, confidence, and affection since assuming office. Citing a Deltagram opinion poll, he noted that about 75.3 percent of people have expressed support and satisfaction with the BNP government.

Speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with expatriate Bangladeshis in the United States, Gani Chowdhury remarked, “I have no hesitation in saying that under the capable leadership of Tarique Rahman, power has shifted from the individual to the people.” The meeting was presided over by US Jatiyatabadi Front President Nasim Ahmed and featured addresses from several prominent community leaders and journalists.

Highlighting the nation's progress, the BSS chief editor mentioned that 70 to 75 percent of Bangladesh's development is attributable to the BNP, built under the leadership of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He added that the Bangladeshi Taka has reached its strongest position against the US dollar and the Indian rupee in five and a half years due to various government economic measures, fostering positive foreign investor confidence.
