Md. Ashik Madbor (Jia), recommended for the Shariatpur District Jubo Dal, has been relieved of his post at the district Jubo Dal office on allegations of concealing information.
This decision was disclosed in a press release issued by the Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal on Friday (October 9, 2026).
According to the press release, Ashik Madbor was relieved from his responsibilities in the Shariatpur District Jubo Dal due to suppressing facts. Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, MP, have already executed this decision. The release was signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, Joint General Secretary (in charge of office duties) of Jubo Dal, by order of the central president and general secretary.
Earlier, on October 8, 2026, Ashik Madbor was announced as the Office Secretary of Shariatpur District Jubo Dal in a statement signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, approved by President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, MP.
Following the announcement of his name, resentment and discontent brewed among local Jubo Dal leaders and activists. It was revealed that Ashik Madbor had previously served as the Central Office and Communication Secretary of Islami Chhatra Andolan, the student wing of Charmonai Pir's political party, Islami Andolan Bangladesh.
An investigation revealed that Ashik Madbor served as the President of the Shariatpur District Branch of Islami Chhatra Andolan in 2022 after previously holding the position of General Secretary. Later, he served as an Executive Member of the Central Committee in 2024 and as the Central School and College Secretary in 2025. Sources confirmed that he most recently served as the Central Office and Communication Secretary in 2026. However, Emon Sardar, President of the Shariatpur District Branch of Islami Chhatra Andolan, stated that Ashik Madbor was relieved from their organization in March 2026.
Meanwhile, Ashik Madbor's Facebook profile features various photos and videos showcasing his past involvement with Islami Chhatra Andolan, including several photos of him attending events in various districts as its Central Office Secretary. Responding to the matter, Ashik Madbor said, "I was associated with Islami Andolan at one point, but I later took a release. The party honored me as a July warrior, and I want to uphold that honor, Insha'Allah."
