NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain Demands Arrest and Dismissal of Youth Development Exam Leak Culprits
National Citizen Party Member Secretary and MP Akhtar Hossain addressing the discussion seminar on the Cyber Security Act amendments and civil rights at the National Press Club on Saturday.

Akhtar Hossain, Member Secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP) and Member of Parliament for Rangpur-4, has demanded the immediate identification, termination, and arrest of individuals involved in leaking the question paper for the Youth Development Department's recruitment examination.

Speaking at a discussion seminar titled "Proposed Amendments to Cyber Security Act—Freedom of Speech and the Future of Civil Rights" held at the Johur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club on Saturday (October 10, 2026), Akhtar Hossain insisted that culprit officials must face legal action and that affected candidates who traveled from various districts should be compensated. He further criticized the government's proposed amendments to the Cyber Security Act, warning that vague definitions of defamation and misinformation could be weaponized to restrict freedom of speech and harass critics. Highlighting broader governance concerns, he raised issues regarding constitutional reform processes, market syndicates driving up LPG prices, extortion, and the deteriorating law-and-order situation. The discussion featured a keynote paper by academic Dr. Nabila Idris and contributions from AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Bhuiyan Manju, NCP Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar, and other prominent analysts.
