Aryavir Sehwag Smashes Blistering 173 with 19 Fours and 8 Sixes in Vinoo Mankad Trophy
Cricket training facilities in Delhi, where rising stars like Aryavir Sehwag undergo rigorous preparation for domestic tournaments.

Channeling his legendary father's fearless and explosive batting style, Aryavir Sehwag delivered a masterclass innings of 173 runs off 143 balls for Delhi in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy Elite tournament against Chandigarh.

Appointed Delhi Under-19 captain shortly after making his international debut against Australia in Rajkot last September, the 18-year-old opener won the toss and elected to bat. Displaying breathtaking strokeplay filled with 19 fours and 8 sixes, Aryavir anchored the innings single-handedly. He built crucial partnerships, adding 98 runs for the opening wicket with Arnav Bugga (47), 48 runs for the third wicket with Ahaviraj Singh, and an 89-run stand for the fifth wicket with Shantanu Yadav before falling in the 46th over. Delhi finished their innings at 289/6.

The sensational knock marks a stunning return to form for young Aryavir, who managed 109 runs across three matches in the youth ODI series against Australia (scores of 28, 47, and 34) and had scored 32 in Delhi's previous heavy defeat against Karnataka. Having gained valuable exposure in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) with West Delhi Lions, Aryavir is steadily carving out his own distinct identity while bearing the famous Sehwag legacy in domestic junior cricket.
