English Premier League side Fulham FC has officially named Bangladeshi-origin winger Farhan Ali Vahid as the recipient of the prestigious 2026 Johnny Haynes Trophy, awarded annually to the club's Academy Player of the Year.
The 19-year-old London-born winger, whose roots trace back to Sylhet, received the trophy at Fulham’s Motspur Park training ground from the Fulham Supporters’ Trust following a vote by club players and coaching staff. Farhan enjoyed a standout 2025–26 campaign in Premier League 2 (Under-21 level), registering 17 goal contributions across 21 appearances to help Fulham secure a fourth-place finish before joining National League side Boreham Wood on loan in August. Internationally, Farhan earned his first senior cap for the Bangladesh National Football Team during the FIFA ASEAN Cup against Malaysia last month and scored his debut goal against Indonesia in front of nearly 50,000 spectators. Expressing gratitude upon receiving the award named after Fulham legend Johnny Haynes, Farhan highlighted his teammates' support and expressed excitement ahead of Bangladesh's upcoming home international fixtures.
