Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially announced a 15-member Test squad for their upcoming two-match World Test Championship (WTC) series against Pakistan, appointing wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis as captain.
The Asian side is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan for the two Test matches starting November 9, 2026, with fixtures confirmed for Rawalpindi and Lahore. Despite recovering from an injury concern, star opening batter Pathum Nissanka has been included in the 15-man roster.
Nissanka will join the national squad for the opener provided he receives full medical clearance prior to the first Test. Additionally, young wicketkeeper-batter Anjala Bandara has earned his maiden call-up to the national Test squad. The pace unit features Lahiru Kumara, Asitha Fernando, Dilshan Madushanka, and Eshan Malinga, while Prabath Jayasuriya leads the spin department.
