Three goals in the final 10 minutes: Messi and his team avoid defeat in a dramatic match

Inter Miami salvaged a dramatic 2-2 draw against FC Cincinnati in the Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season clash, courtesy of a last-minute equalizer in a chaotic final ten minutes.

Returning to action after traveling to Spain to receive the prestigious Princess of Asturias Award for sports contributions, Lionel Messi featured in the starting lineup. After a scoreless first hour of play, veteran striker Luis Suárez broke the deadlock in the 61st minute with a brilliant curling shot into the far corner. However, Cincinnati mounted a fierce comeback late in the game: Kenji Mboma Dem leveled the score in the 80th minute, and Samuel Gidi stunned the hosts by putting Cincinnati ahead in the 86th minute.

With defeat looming, young Brazilian forward Riquelme Fillipi delivered in the 90th minute with a magnificent bending shot from the left side of the box—mirroring Suárez's earlier goal—to score his first-ever MLS career goal and secure a vital point for Inter Miami. Following this result, Inter Miami holds 56 points in third place in the Eastern Conference, trailing second-placed New England Revolution (58 points) by two points with two matches remaining. The upcoming direct away clash against New England will be decisive in determining the number two seed for the MLS Cup Playoffs.
