The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has increased gold prices in the local market by ৳3,266 per bhori, setting the price of 22-karat gold at ৳220,858 per bhori (including VAT). The updated tariff structure, initially made effective on Monday, remains unchanged and applicable today, Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
According to BAJUS, the revision stems from a sharp price escalation of pure gold (Tejabi gold) in the local bullion market. Under the current rate schedule, 21-karat gold is priced at ৳210,943 per bhori, 18-karat gold at ৳181,200 per bhori, and traditional method gold at ৳148,016 per bhori (all prices inclusive of VAT).
