The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) distributed refund checks worth ৳3.21 crore (৳3,21,57,000) to 122 verified investors of Mashiur Securities Limited on Tuesday (September 29, 2026), marking the first phase of investor compensation following the brokerage's collapse.
Conducted under the directives of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and backed by the Investment Protection Fund (IPF), the continuous disbursement ran from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at DSE premises. DSE confirmed that verified claims across default brokerage firms will be cleared sequentially, with notifications sent to affected investors via SMS. The initiative forms part of a broader recovery framework launched on Monday by BSEC Chairman Masud Khan, which aims to disburse IPF funds to 17,332 verified investors—representing nearly 97% of the 17,967 investors affected by financial irregularities totaling ৳492 crore across five defaulted brokerages, including Banco Securities, Crest Securities, Tamha Securities, and Shah Mohammad Sagir & Co. Limited.
