The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced an upward revision in domestic gold prices on Wednesday (September 30, 2026), marking a reversal following three consecutive price reductions. Under the new pricing structure, inclusive of VAT, the rate for top-tier 22-karat gold has been increased by BDT 2,216 to BDT 2,30,772 per bhori (11.664 grams), up from BDT 2,28,556 on Tuesday.
According to BAJUS, the decision was finalized during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, with the revised rates taking effect from 10:00 AM nationwide. Under the updated framework, 21-karat gold is priced at BDT 2,20,391 per bhori, 18-karat gold stands at BDT 1,89,248 per bhori, and traditional method gold is set at BDT 1,54,606 per bhori. Meanwhile, BAJUS maintained silver prices at unchanged levels, with 22-karat silver retailing at BDT 4,316 per bhori, 21-karat at BDT 4,141 per bhori, 18-karat at BDT 3,558 per bhori, and traditional silver at BDT 2,683 per bhori.
