Ahead of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja, saris, lungis, and puja gift items were distributed among 1,400 members of the Hindu community in Bhaluka municipal area, Mymensingh.

The distribution event was organized on Saturday noon (October 10, 2026) at the central Harisabha temple premises in Bhaluka market under the initiative of Bhaluka Pourashava BNP Convenor Alhaj Hatem Khan. Presided over by Pourashava Puja Udjapan Front President Mithu Banik, the discussion meeting featured speeches from Pourashava BNP Convenor Alhaj Hatem Khan, Joint Convenors Shamsuddin Ahmed, Saidur Rahman, and Zahir Raihan, along with other local leaders including Aminul Islam Pappu, Abdus Samad, Nasrin Sultana Chaina, Mahmuda Akhter, Pradip Banik, and Asim Kumar Modak.

Speakers extended greetings for Durga Puja and emphasized maintaining communal harmony, mutual amity, and brotherhood before handing over the gifts to the attendees.
