
A financial donation of Tk 50,000 was presented for the development and celebration of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja at Shri Shri Sarbajanin Durga Temple in Ward 4 of Jobkhali, under Betagi Sadar Union in Barguna.
Acting Chairman of No. 2 Betagi Sadar Union, Md. Mizanur Rahman Milon Talukdar, handed over the grant check to the temple authority during a law and order coordination meeting held on Thursday (October 8) at the Betagi Upazila Parishad auditorium. Joydeb Chandra, President of the temple committee, received the check.
Expressing his gratitude, Joydeb Chandra assured that the entire amount would be used for temple development and puja festivities, expressing optimism that the contribution would make this year's Durga Puja more joyful and festive.
The event was attended by Betagi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muh. Saddam Hossain, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nusrat Jahan, Betagi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Harun Or Rashid Howlader, founding President of Betagi Upazila Jubo Dal Md. Habibur Rahman Nanna Khan, and members of the upazila puja celebration committee.
Acting Chairman Md. Mizanur Rahman Milon Talukdar stated that the donation aims to ensure that people of all faiths in his union can safely, peacefully, and freely perform their religious rites, fostering mutual harmony, cordiality, and brotherhood across religious lines.
