Allegations of a terrorist attack, vandalism, and looting have surfaced at the Tahfizul Quranil Karim Fazil Madrassah in Ashulia, Savar, amid disputes over the management and control of the institution. Following the incident, the madrasah authority has accused a local BNP leader of aiding the attack. However, denying the allegations, the BNP leader counter-argued that the madrasah is being kept under forced occupation.

Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tariqul Islam confirmed the matter on Monday morning (September 28). Earlier on Sunday afternoon (September 27), the attack, vandalism, and looting took place at the Tahfiyul Quranil Karim Fazil (Graduate) Madrassah in the Sreepur area of Ashulia. Police stated that security has been reinforced in the madrasah area following the incident.

According to eyewitnesses and the madrasah authority, a group of people armed with sticks and domestic weapons entered the madrasah premises and carried out an attack and vandalism. Allegations were also raised that various items were looted during the incident.

Syed Sanjid, Deputy Director (Administration) of the madrasah and a member of the Ashraf Charitable Trust, stated that a market built on the trust's land in front of the madrasah had long been occupied by a person named Imam Hasan. A dispute arose recently when he was removed from there according to the trust's decision. Following this, the madrasah was deliberately attacked.

Syed Sanjid alleged that during the attack, the administrative office of the madrasah was extensively vandalized. He claimed that computers, laptops, nearly Tk 30 lakh in cash, and other valuable items were taken away. He also claimed that 50 to 60 people participated in the attack. He accused Zakir Hossain, Acting President of Dhamsona Union BNP, of assisting the attackers in this incident.
