A nomination meeting for BNP-supported member candidates was held in Ward No. 4 of Baneshwar Union in Puthia Upazila, Rajshahi. During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that all candidates and party activists will work together to support whoever receives the final official backing from the party.
The program took place under the chairmanship of Baneshwar Union Chhatra Dal President Sijan Abdullah. Puthia Upazila BNP President Md. Mansur Master attended as the chief guest, while Rajshahi District BNP Organizing Secretary Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Baneshwar Union Parishad Chairman Abdur Razzak Dulal, Upazila Volunteer Dal General Secretary Russell Sarkar, and Hazrat Ali Sarkar were present as special guests.
During the meeting, potential candidates for ward member were proposed by various local leaders and activists, including former Baneshwar Union Chhatra Dal General Secretary Sohel Rana, former Thana Chhatra Dal Information and Research Secretary Salauddin Babu, Shibpur Banik Samity President Sadek Bachchu, Masud Rana, Liaquat, Jahangir Alam, Moyna, and female member candidate Selina Parveen (the current female member). Following the proposals, the candidates expressed their commitment to maintaining party unity, declaring in unison that they will accept and respect whoever the party ultimately selects for final support.
Other notable attendees included Upazila BNP member and former student leader Mizanur Rahman, Gazi Master, Enamul Haji, Nazmul Huda Babu, Aziz member, Swechchhasebak Dal's Wasim Ali, Union Krishak Dal Convener Raihan Sardar Hero, Ward No. 4 BNP General Secretary Shah Alam, Union Krishak Dal Joint Convener Masud Rana, as well as local leaders from Baneshwar Union and its affiliated ward organizations.
