Naznin Akhter, owner of the Day-Night Clinic located near the Faridpur Medical College Hospital area, has officially withdrawn her previous complaint accusing individuals of demanding extortion and issuing threats. During a press conference held on Faridpur Thana Road on Tuesday morning (October 6, 2026), she stated that she recently submitted an application to revoke the September 17 complaint filed with the Superintendent of Police, explaining that she had signed the document without fully understanding its contents due to poor eyesight.
According to Naznin Akhter, municipal official Ahaduzzaman Kiran and an individual named Mahbub exploited her vulnerability by drafting a fraudulent extortion complaint at the municipal office without letting her read it, subsequently circulating it on WhatsApp to tarnish her family's reputation. Clarifying that the named individuals—including Mizanur Rahman Minan, Titu Mia, Swapan Mahmud, and Munayem—never actually threatened or demanded money from her, she urged the authorities to dismiss the original application and take strict legal action against Mahbub and municipal official Ahaduzzaman Kiran.
