A father in Charfassion, Bhola, has been accused of manufacturing forged-signature agreement stamps and obtaining an ex-parte court ruling through a false lawsuit in a bid to misappropriate land purchased by his sons.
According to the complaint details, the allegations have been brought against Nuruzzaman Munshi by his two sons, Toyasin and Mohsin, residents of Ward No. 1 under Rasulpur union of Shashibhushan police station in the upazila. They claim that their father is attempting to illegally seize and sell their land by creating staged agreement stamps using fake signatures.
Younger son Mohsin stated that they purchased 56 decimals of land from Zainab Bibi in Char Shashibhushan mouza back in 2002. Ever since, both brothers have been paying land revenue according to government regulations, mutation (namjari) has been completed in their names, and they have remained in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property.
He further stated that in 2023, they learned through rumors that an attempt was being made to sell their purchased land without their knowledge. Upon investigating, they discovered that an ex-parte court verdict had been secured through a fabricated lawsuit by creating agreement stamps using forged signatures and falsely understating the ages of the two brothers.
He alleged that attempts to sell the property are currently underway based on that verdict.
