Sujon Mondal, a resident of Shanikdiar village under Hemayetpur Union in Pabna Sadar Upazila, held a press conference at the Pabna Journalists Union on Monday evening (October 19, 2026) alleging that his 14-year-old son, Sanju Mondal, was wrongfully framed in a vandalism and theft case to trap rivals. According to Sujon, Sanju lived at his maternal grandparents' home in Khoyersuti area of Dogachi Union, working at Moktar Hossain's scissor-making factory.

Sujon claimed that on the night of April 14, following instructions and threats from Shafiul Islam Saha and Moktar Hossain, his son was forced to participate in vandalizing and stealing CCTV cameras at Helal Doctor's house near Khoyersuti School. When a case was subsequently filed by Helal Doctor naming Sanju, Shafiul, and Moktar, the latter two allegedly secured secret bails after arrest warrants were issued, while young Sanju was handed over to police without his parents' knowledge and sent to a juvenile detention center in Jashore. Sujon alleged that the framing stems from a long-standing land dispute between Helal Doctor and Shafiul Islam Saha, and he demanded a fair investigation and the immediate release of his son.
