
The introductory lesson (Sabaq) and orientation program for the first-year Alim students of the 2026–27 academic session were held at Tanzimul Ummah Alim Madrasah in a festive and joyful atmosphere.
The event took place on Wednesday (October 8) at the madrasah auditorium, chaired by Habibullah Muhammad Iqbal, Chairman of the Tanzimul Ummah Foundation. Sheikh Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Founder, Principal, and Chairman of Safir Education Institution, London, attended as the chief guest. The program commenced with a welcome address by Abdullah Al Mamun, Acting Principal of Tanzimul Ummah Alim Madrasah.
Chief Guest Sheikh Dr. Abul Kalam Azad delivered the inaugural lesson (Sabaq) to the freshers by reciting the first verse of Surah An-Nisa. He imparted key advice on achieving Taqwa (god-fearing piety), building moral character, and adhering to Islamic ideals. Earlier, he was welcomed on campus with a guard of honor presented by the madrasah scout troupe.
Special guests included Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Senior Vice Chairman of the Tanzimul Ummah Foundation and founding principal of the madrasah; Dr. Meem Atiqullah, Vice Chairman of the Foundation; Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Joint Director of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation; Dr. Fawzan Abdur Rahman, alumnus; Advocate Abdul Awal, Lecturer at Green University; Sa'ad Ahmad Madani, Principal of Tahfeez International Academy; and Osama bin Abubakar, Pharmacist at Jil Pharma, London.
The ceremony also featured speeches from freshers Naif Nuaisir Musab, Mahfuzur Rahman Fahim, Mohammad Bin Shahid, and Kazi Abdullah, who scored the highest marks in this year's Dakhil examination. Moderated by Kazi Abdullah, the event included student recitations, Islamic nasheeds, songs, qawwalis, and poetry recitations, creating a memorable gathering for teachers, students, parents, and invited guests.
