Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju stated that the number of dengue patients in Khulna is currently higher than at any other time. For the past four months, KCC has been doing everything within its capacity to serve those affected, establishing medical camps close to residential areas to provide low-income families with easy dengue testing, primary healthcare, and increased bed capacity in government hospitals for free treatment.

The administrator made these remarks on Saturday morning while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly established free medical camp at the Bastuhara Colony in Ward No. 9 of the city as the chief guest.

The medical camp has been set up by KCC to provide free primary healthcare to women, men, and children suffering from dengue and all other fevers. During an inspection on Thursday, upon finding several individuals suffering from fever in the colony, the administrator announced the establishment of this free medical camp. The administrator urged residents to keep children under mosquito nets even during the day, clean their living quarters and adjacent drains responsibly, and fully cooperate with KCC’s mosquito-control workers. He also encouraged fever-affected individuals to receive free services from this camp.
