Khulna City Corporation (KCC) is implementing multi-faceted activities to control the spread of dengue. These include controlling mosquito larvae and flying mosquitoes, establishing free medical camps to provide primary treatment for fever patients, increasing manpower for cleaning operations, operating mobile courts, and increasing the number of beds in the dengue ward of the medical college hospital using an amount equivalent to one day's salary of KCC officers and employees. If various organizations in the city join hands with KCC, these efforts will become even more fruitful.

KCC Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju made these remarks as the chief guest while inaugurating a public awareness rally organized by the voluntary organization "Suchana Health and Education Development Foundation" at its office in Daulatpur, city, on Saturday morning. With the slogan "Let's build a dengue-free environment – let's build a healthy and beautiful life," the foundation authorities organized this program to raise social awareness regarding cleanliness.

The administrator thanked those involved with the organization for arranging the program in solidarity with the prime minister's program and called upon everyone to get involved in cleaning work in neighborhoods and alleys for as much time as possible every day until dengue is brought under control.
