World Tourism Day, 2026, has been celebrated in Rangpur under the theme "Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Future Tourism."
On Sunday (September 27), a discussion meeting was held at the conference room of the Rangpur Deputy Commissioner in observance of World Tourism Day. The meeting was jointly organized by the Rangpur District Administration and the Tourism Motel, with Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Israt Jahan presiding as the chairperson.
Deputy Director of the Rangpur Department of Archaeology Tanvirul Islam, Tourism Motel Manager Md. Salem Sheikh, General Manager of Chikli Water Park Abu Hena Md. Sarwar Jahan Shamim, Assistant General Manager of Bhinna Jagat Md. Rifaet Bari, and Rangpur Tourist Police ASP Md. Mozammel Haque spoke as special guests at the event.
Government officials, people from various professions, and journalists were present at the discussion meeting.
Earlier, marking World Tourism Day, a colorful procession brought out from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur paraded through the main roads of the city and concluded at the same venue.
