At least three people were seriously injured in an attack by opponents over a long-standing land dispute in Alamdastar village under Rajoir upazila of Madaripur district. On Thursday (September 24) around 9:30 AM, an armed group of 30 to 40 people, led by Shaheb Ali Kobiraj, launched a sudden attack on the home of Bulu Chowdhury (70) and his family members using indigenous weapons.

Bulu Chowdhury (70), Sharmin (45), and Samarth Howlader were severely injured due to the indiscriminate beatings and assaults by the attackers. During the incident, the attackers also carried out extensive vandalism and looting of the homestead. Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Madaripur Sadar Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Rajoir Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aminul Islam stated that the situation was brought under control upon receiving the information, and legal action is underway to identify and apprehend those involved.
