Osmaninagar Upazila BNP President S.T.M. Fakhruddin has remarked that the late journalist Harun Rashid vividly portrayed various societal inconsistencies and public sufferings through his sharp pen and active endeavors. "Harun Rashid was an energetic and dedicated journalist. Through Facebook live and news reports, he brought the problems and demands of people in remote areas to the attention of the relevant authorities," he said, adding that Harun also played a vital role in humanitarian works, including assisting helpless and ailing individuals.

​He made these remarks while addressing the key handover ceremony of a newly constructed brick-built house for physically challenged Kawsar Ahmed, held on Sunday afternoon in Mirargaon village under Dayamir union of Osmaninagar upazila in Sylhet. He also prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul of the late journalist.

​The house, built at a cost of approximately Tk 5.5 lakh, was jointly funded by the UK-based voluntary organization Nesser's Trust and Asian UK TV, marking their 27th joint humanitarian project. Chaired by Mamunur Rahman, Bangladesh representative of Nesser's Trust and Asian UK TV, the event was addressed by Osmaninagar Press Club President Sharif Ahmad Chowdhury and local Ward BNP President and former UP Member Hushir Mia as special guests. Speakers noted that Harun Rashid stood by the helpless alongside his professional duties, expressing hope that this initiative will inspire the affluent class to engage in humanitarian work. The program concluded with the handover of house keys to Kawsar Ahmed, in the presence of Nesser's Trust members and local dignitaries.
