Arzu Akter, a resident of Bhatarchar village in Gazaria Upazila, Munshiganj, has been honored with the 'Youth Volunteer Award 2026' in the self-employment and entrepreneurship development category. On Monday afternoon (October 19, 2026), she received a check for Taka 1 lakh, a crest, and a certificate directly from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Following the award ceremony, Arzu Akter paid courtesy calls to Munshiganj-3 Member of Parliament Md. Kamruzzaman Ratan and Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafee, accompanied by Munshiganj Department of Youth Development Deputy Director Sheikh Md. Nasir Uddin.
