**==A colorful rally and a discussion meeting to mark National Youth Day were held in Hili under the Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur.
**Marking the occasion,== a vibrant rally was brought out on Sunday morning (November 1) under the joint initiative of the Upazila Administration and the Department of Youth Development. The rally paraded through various important roads of the upazila before culminating in a discussion meeting.
Speakers at the discussion meeting stated that the role of the youth community is crucially important in the country's development and prosperity. To eradicate unemployment, create self-employment, and build skilled manpower, emphasis must be placed on encouraging youth to undergo training and become entrepreneurs, they noted.
The discussion meeting was held at the upazila parishad auditorium following the rally and was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Joj Mitra Chakma. Among those present at the event were Upazila Youth Development Department Officer Shah Md. Abdur Reza, officials from various government departments, representatives of youth organizations, and local distinguished personalities.

Therefore, the youth community must be kept away from drugs, crime, and social degradation, and actively engaged in nation-building, they added.
