Under the initiative of the Sajeda Foundation, over 800 fruit-bearing, forest, and medicinal saplings were distributed free of cost among villagers in Dashuria union of Ishwardi upazila, Pabna. The official distribution event took place on Monday afternoon at the Dashuria branch office premises of the foundation.
Ishwardi Upazila Additional Agriculture Officer Nasib Ahmed Khan attended the event as the chief guest, with Sajeda Foundation Dashuria Branch Manager Md. Lokman Hossain presiding over the ceremony. Special guests included Weekly Ishwardi Editor Selim Sardar, Sajeda Foundation Pabna Regional Manager Md. Arafat Hossain, Moudud Hossain, Area Manager Dipak Kumar Sarkar, Regional Manager (Accounts) Mok塔尔 Hossain, Area Manager (Accounts) Lokman Hakim, and Area Manager (Biborton) Md. Zahidul Islam. The program was conducted by Sajeda Foundation Dashuria Branch Program Assistant Md. Abdul Motaleb.
According to the organizers, the initiative aims to encourage rural communities to participate in government-declared afforestation programs and promote greening across various areas of Ishwardi. As part of this effort, 830 saplings were distributed through 74 members of the foundation's Dashuria branch. The organization has also implemented special monitoring measures to ensure the survival and proper growth of the distributed saplings. Following the distribution, guests officially planted saplings at the venue.
