To prevent dengue and raise public awareness, a month-long awareness program has been initiated under the initiative of the Pirojpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As part of the program, a cleanliness and mosquito eradication drive was conducted on Monday morning (September 28) in various areas of the town, including shops, fish and grocery markets. During the drive, stagnant water, garbage, and potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes around markets and business establishments were cleaned up. Additionally, awareness leaflets on dengue prevention were distributed among traders and the general public, urging them to remove accumulated water and trash.

The drive was led by Gazi Wahiduzzaman Lavlu, President of the Pirojpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He stated that everyone must work together to control dengue. To prevent mosquito breeding, water should not be allowed to accumulate anywhere, and everyone must keep their respective surroundings clean. Through this program, regular cleanliness activities will be carried out alongside raising awareness among traders and citizens.
