A preparatory meeting was organized by the upazila administration in Mithapukur, Rangpur, to ensure the peaceful, festive, and secure celebration of Sharadiya Durga Puja, the primary religious festival of the Hindu community.

The meeting took place at the Upazila Parishad auditorium under the chairmanship of Mithapukur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Parvez. Key discussions and decisions centered on maintaining law and order, ensuring comprehensive security across all puja mandaps, guaranteeing uninterrupted power supply, and preserving a peaceful atmosphere throughout the festival.

Special guests included Upazila BNP President Professor Golam Rabbani, Rangpur District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Md. Enamul Haq, and Mithapukur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ruhul Amin. Presidents, general secretaries, and head priests from various puja mandaps across 17 unions of the upazila attended and shared their suggestions. Attending political leaders and puja committee representatives assured the upazila administration of their full cooperation in celebrating Durga Puja safely and festively.
