Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Feni on an official tour this coming Thursday, October 1. According to the official itinerary, he will participate in multiple day-long programs in the Parshuram and ফুলগাজী (Phulgazi) upazilas of Feni. At the beginning of the tour, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the rehabilitation work of the Muhuri-Kuhua flood control, drainage, and irrigation project in Parshuram.
Later in Phulgazi, he is scheduled to participate in a tree plantation program, the inauguration of electricity supply to the national grid from rooftop solar panels, distribution of family cards and farmer cards, and honorarium distribution for individuals working in various religious institutions.
According to the itinerary, the Prime Minister will depart from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka by road toward Parshuram, Feni, at 8:30 AM, arriving at the Ghatghor Muhuri Bridge area of Parshuram upazila at 12:30 PM. He will attend the inauguration and exchange greetings for the "Muhuri-Kuhua Flood Control, Drainage, and Irrigation Project Rehabilitation (Phase 1)" project.
At 1:15 PM, the Prime Minister will travel from Parshuram toward Begum Khaleda Zia Women's College in Phulgazi Upazila, arriving at the college premises at 1:30 PM to participate in a tree-plantation program.
At 2:00 PM, the Prime Minister will visit the Phulgazi District Council Dakbungalow, where he will inaugurate the electricity supply activities from the rooftop solar system installed at the Dakbungalow and take a brief rest.
At 3:00 PM, the Prime Minister will attend a program organized at the Phulgazi Government Pilot High School ground, where he is scheduled to participate in distributing family cards, farmer cards, and honorariums to imams, muezzins, khadims, and other personnel working at religious places of worship.
At 5:00 PM, the Prime Minister will leave Feni by road for Dhaka, where he is expected to arrive by 9:00 PM.
Meanwhile, supplementary preparatory work surrounding the Prime Minister's visit has been finalized. Ahead of the visit, the preparation of the rally venue along the banks of the Muhuri River in the Ghatghor area of Parshuram was completed. Simultaneously, a temporary helipad has been constructed on the grounds of Parshuram Pilot High School. Necessary infrastructure, including the stage and the site for the inaugural plaque, has also been completed at the rally site.
Safe drinking water has been arranged for the people attending the public rally. The Department of Public Health Engineering is setting up sanitation arrangements, including water tanks and portable toilets, at the venue. Concurrently, necessary cleanup and preparatory activities in and around the event location have been concluded.
To keep road communication smooth and safe, the Roads and Highways Department has carried out repairs and renovations on various critical sections of the Feni-Parshuram main road. Necessary renovation and preparatory work have also been done in the areas surrounding the rally venue on the Parshuram-Subar Bazar road. Similarly, beautification works have been finalized at the Phulgazi Government Pilot High School ground and various other key locations.
Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to Feni was originally scheduled for September 17 before being postponed and rescheduled for October 1.
