Renowned writer, organizer, and journalist Zakir Ahmed from Rangpur has been honored with 'The Art and Innovation Journalism Award 1433' for his remarkable contribution to journalism. The prestigious recognition was presented by 'Agami Bangla Press and Media' at the 'Agami Bangla' aesthetic creative award-giving ceremony held at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICAR) hall in Kolkata, amidst the presence of prominent figures from journalism and various creative fields. He received this accolade in acknowledgment of his objective news reporting, commitment to journalism, and over two decades of active involvement in the media.

During the event, notable personalities from various states of India and Bangladesh were honored for their respective contributions. Other recipients included Jaya Chowdhury and Bappaditya Roy Biswas in translation literature, Mounita Chatterjee and Sushanta Nandi in vocal performance, and Papiya Ghosh in folk music. Indian journalist Abu Raihan was also honored with a journalism award, alongside other distinguished figures such as Ratnatanu Ghati, Parthajit Gangopadhyay, Paramita Bhoumik, Arun Shil, and Binod Ghoshal.

The ceremony was graced by poet Deepak Lahiri, Chitra Lahiri, Soumit Basu, Mukul Roy, Syed Hasmat Jalal, Ramkishore Bhattacharya, Sudipta Chatterjee, Yunus Molla, Adip Ghosh, Alok Biswas, Anshuman Chakraborty, Shubhankar Saha, and Avik Kumar Dey, among others.
