Freedom fighter Abdur Rahman Khan has passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Pirojpur. He breathed his last at his residence on Tuesday night at around 10:30 PM after suffering a sudden surge in breathing difficulties before he could be taken to the hospital.

His Namaj-e-Janaza was held on Wednesday (September 23) after Zuhr prayers at the Ideal Para School-cum-Cyclone Center ground in the town. Following the funeral prayer, he was buried with full state honors at the District Freedom Fighter Graveyard. During the burial, floral wreaths were placed to pay final respects on behalf of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad District Freedom Fighter Unit Command and the upazila administration. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, a daughter, and a host of well-wishers to mourn his demise.
