Md. Aminul Huq Amin, a retired Quartermaster Sergeant of the Bangladesh Army, contractor, and General Secretary of Ward No. 8 BNP in Syedpur, held a press conference protesting malicious propaganda and false accusations aimed at defaming him socially. The press conference took place on Monday (October 13, 2026) at 10:30 AM at his office in front of the Syedpur Upazila Parishad.

During the press conference, he stated that expatriate businessman Ruhul Amin Babu—his nephew—owns 45 decimal of land on the north side of the Bangalipur Nizampara Government Primary School near the upazila premises. Instead of building the school's boundary wall longwise along the east-west direction, the school authorities constructed an illegal wall on the north-south side, encroaching upon Babu's land and placing it outside the school's boundary gate. He alleged that former head teacher Rukhsana Prodhan and assistant education officer Mizanur Rahman grew vindictive after failing to purchase land from Babu.

He further added that although Babu had submitted a written complaint to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, some individuals deliberately vandalized the wall last Friday and fabricated conspiracy charges against them. To cover up these actions, school children were reportedly used in a human chain during school hours, and Abu Sarkar—Propaganda Secretary of the Syedpur political district BNP and a ward councillor candidate—spread false allegations of extortion and fraud against him, falsely claiming he was expelled from the party. He strongly condemned these actions and demanded a fair investigation and administrative intervention.
