Recently retired headmistress of Bangalipur Nizpara Government Primary School, Rukhshana Prodhan, brought primary students to stage a human chain in front of the Upazila Executive Officer's office in Saidpur, Nilphamari, without prior permission from the authorities. The protest, held around 11:30 AM on Sunday (October 11) during school hours, kept young students standing for an hour over a controversial land dispute regarding the school's boundary wall and an alleged assault on a night guard.

According to local education officials, including Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Masulul Hasan and Cluster Officer Mizanur Rahman, they were completely unaware of the demonstration and stated that students should not be used in such protests during class hours. The school authorities claimed the protest was organized because the school's newly constructed boundary wall was vandalized and their night guard, Golam Rabbani, was assaulted. Acting headmaster Sharejahan Parvin filed a police complaint regarding the incident.

However, the opposing landowner, expatriate Ruhul Amin Babu, strongly refuted these claims, labeling the wall construction and subsequent drama as staged. Babu stated that he owns 45 decimal of land adjacent to the school. He alleged that after he refused to sell a portion of his land to school staff, they vengefully used government allocations to illegally construct the boundary wall extending onto his property while he was abroad. He added that he filed a written complaint with the Upazila Executive Officer on October 1, offering to surrender his entire 45-decimal land if it is proven the wall is on school property, or demanding legal action against the wrongdoers if it is on his land. When reporters pressed the headmistress and other school staff for legal land documents, they failed to provide any valid paperwork, and Rukhshana Prodhan evaded questions.
