An autorickshaw driver named Jahangir Alam was killed and two passengers were severely injured in a three-way collision involving a passenger bus, a tractor, and a battery-run autorickshaw in Daganbhuiyan upazila, Feni.

The accident occurred around 9:30 PM on Thursday (October 1) in the Ganipur area under Ward 8 of Daganbhuiyan Municipality on the Noakhali-Feni regional highway.

The deceased, Jahangir Alam, son of Abdul Ali from Abhirampur village in Daganbhuiyan, was operating the autorickshaw at the time of the crash. According to local sources, an unnumbered tractor was making a U-turn on the Noakhali-bound lane when a speeding passenger bus belonging to 'Allahardan' (Reg. No. Chattogram Metro-B-11-0638) struck it from behind. The impact caused the tractor to overturn onto the oncoming battery-run autorickshaw on the opposite lane, destroying the vehicle and killing Jahangir on the spot. Mahipal Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kabir Hossain confirmed that police and locals cleared the wreckage, and efforts are underway to identify the two injured passengers as legal proceedings commence.
