A vital commuter and transport route connecting the Parbatipur bus terminal northward to Kazipara Darikhamar in Dinajpur has become hazardous after half of the 8-foot wide road collapsed into an adjacent pond near Golam Hossain's house in Adarsha Para.

With roughly 4 feet of the road completely washed away, buses, trucks, auto-rickshaws, vans, and local pedestrians are forced to navigate the remaining stretch under dangerous conditions, raising fears of fatal accidents as concerned residents decry a lack of immediate action from local authorities.

Addressing the crisis, Parbatipur Municipality Assistant Engineer Sabbir Ahmed stated that a tender for repair work has already been processed and construction will commence very shortly.
