In Parbatipur, Dinajpur, a truck loaded with cattle feed from Mymensingh was abandoned along with the goods by the driver and helper after their attempt to sell the cargo surreptitiously came to light.

It is known that on Sunday, a truck (Dhaka Metro-Ta-12-0310) loaded with 300 sacks of feed departed from Bhaluka, Mymensingh, bound for Chattogram. However, instead of heading to Chattogram, the driver and helper brought the truck to Parbatipur in Dinajpur.

They approached a local feed trader at the Parbatipur bus terminal, offering to sell all 300 sacks of feed for just Tk 300,000. Suspicious of the unusually low price, the trader contacted the respective company and informed the police. Around 9:00 PM, Parbatipur Model Police Station officers brought the truck loaded with goods to the police station.

On Monday morning, representatives of the feed company (Suguna Foods) arrived in Parbatipur and consulted with the station's Officer-in-Charge (OC). By Monday evening, Parbatipur Model Police Station OC Abdul Wadud stated that he heard the parties might settle the matter mutually, and if no formal case is filed, police will have limited scope for further action. Meanwhile, Suguna Foods Territory In-Charge Touhidul Hasan confirmed that the truck was originally dispatched from Bhaluka, Mymensingh, for Chattogram but ended up in Parbatipur. As of Monday evening, the truck and goods remained detained at the police station.

Another source indicated that intense efforts are underway to settle the incident through a substantial financial transaction.
