Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Abdur Rahman conducted a drive against students who were found loitering at various tourist spots in Chandanaish, skipping their classes at schools, colleges, and madrasas.

The day-long operation was carried out on Thursday (October 29) across several tourist spots and parks in the upazila.

During the drive, several students wearing school, college, and madrasa uniforms were detained while roaming around. Later, their teachers and parents were called to the scene. The students were released after being warned and taking written undertakings.

UNO Md. Abdur Rahman stated that the operation was launched based on secret information that students were hanging out in various parks during institutional hours. He added that such drives will continue to maintain a healthy educational environment and to prevent students from going astray.
