Police arrested a young man along with 40 bottles of Phensedyl in front of the Shyamganj Police Investigation Center in Purbadhala upazila of Netrokona on Monday.
The arrest was made around 12:30 pm during a routine checkpost duty led by Shyamganj Investigation Center Police Inspector Sentu Mia. Authorities intercepted a Dhaka-bound Crown Deluxe bus traveling from Kalmakanda and recovered 40 bottles of Phensedyl from the possession of Md. Zakir Hossain Mridul (21), son of Gias Uddin from Bamongao village under Kalmakanda upazila.
Confirming the arrest and seizure, Police Inspector Mohammad Sentu Mia stated that a legal case has been filed against the accused and he has been forwarded to the court.
